A Florida nonprofit. Built for our neighbors.

FOR HOMEOWNERS

One less expense.
A little more peace of mind.

We’re preparing a simple, private way to request help with a 4-Point or Wind Mitigation inspection. Your application, updates, and report will have one home here.

THE PLANNED APPLICATION

A clear next step,
at every step.

Submitting an application won’t guarantee an inspection. Requests will be reviewed against published eligibility, funding, and local inspector availability.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Share your contact details, property location, inspection type, insurance deadline, and a brief explanation of the help you need.

  2. 02

    Hear back from the program

We’ll review the request and explain whether it is approved, needs more information, or must wait for funding or an inspector.

  3. 03

    Schedule and get your report

Once an inspector is assigned, arrange access to your home. Your completed report will be delivered through Free Insurance Inspections at no cost to you.

What to have ready

  • Your name, contact details, and preferred way to hear from us.
  • The Florida property address and confirmation that you can authorize access.
  • The inspection your insurer needs: 4-Point, Wind Mitigation, or both.
  • Any insurance deadline and the report requirements your agent has provided.
  • A short explanation of the financial barrier you’re facing, if applying for assistance.
  • Any access or communication needs that will help us coordinate with you.

We’re still deciding what documentation will be needed. Please don’t send financial records, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive documents before a secure application process is available.

Referred by someone helping you?

We’re also developing privately sponsored inspections. The homeowner will still choose whether to participate and authorize the inspection. A sponsor won’t automatically receive your report.

If your home needs repairs

We’re developing an optional network of local repair providers offering wholesale or discounted program rates. With your permission, we would help connect you with a suitable business. You would review a written estimate before agreeing to any work.

Repairs are separate from the free inspection and are not automatically covered. You would be responsible for approved costs unless separate funding is explicitly arranged. Provider referrals and repair funding are not available yet.

Your inspection stays independent

A free inspection provides professional documentation of your home. It doesn’t guarantee coverage, a particular finding, insurer acceptance, or a premium discount. You won’t have to buy a sponsor’s products to receive help.

Need an inspection now?

Visit InspectorsList.com and search by city or ZIP code to find an inspector in your area. Contact the inspector directly to confirm availability, pricing, and the reports your insurer requires.

Directory bookings are separate from this free program and may have a fee. Applications and scheduling through Free Insurance Inspections are not yet available, and this page does not reserve a place.
