A roof to rely on
Roofing professionals able to assess repair needs and provide a clear scope and reduced program price for appropriate work.
FOR LOCAL SERVICE PROVIDERS
An inspection can identify a problem. Your business can help a homeowner take the next step. We’re building a network of local repair professionals willing to offer wholesale or discounted program rates.
Provider applications and repair referrals are not yet open
PUT YOUR TRADE TO WORK FOR A NEIGHBOR
Our provider network will focus on these six categories of repairs and improvements that support a home’s condition and wind resistance for insurance.
Roofing professionals able to assess repair needs and provide a clear scope and reduced program price for appropriate work.
Electrical contractors who can evaluate reported concerns and quote the work needed within their licensed scope.
Plumbing professionals who can help with leaks, fixtures, water heaters, and other repair needs relevant to the home.
HVAC professionals willing to offer program rates for appropriate diagnosis, servicing, and repairs.
Qualified professionals who can assess and improve roof-to-wall connections, including appropriate clips, straps, and retrofit work, with documentation for a follow-up Wind Mitigation inspection.
Window professionals who can repair broken glass and damaged windows, address window conditions flagged by an insurer, and provide appropriate installation or replacement services.
Your insurance agent can confirm which repairs or documentation are needed for your coverage.
Every provider will need the qualifications and licenses applicable to the work offered.
A RATE THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Tell us what your business can offer sustainably.
That could mean a reduced labor rate, a fixed price for common repairs, or materials at cost with an agreed labor charge. We’ll define the actual pricing terms with each provider before participation begins.
Each job will need an itemized estimate explaining labor, materials, diagnostic or travel charges, permit costs, and any exclusions. A “wholesale” label alone won’t tell a homeowner what they will pay.
THE PLANNED REPAIR PROCESS
Homeowners will choose whether to request a referral. Referrals will go first to the approved provider holding the relevant ZIP code and category, subject to availability, response requirements, and agreed program pricing.
With the homeowner’s permission, we share the relevant repair details with a suitable participating provider. Homeowners remain free to choose someone else.
The provider prepares a written estimate. Before work begins, the homeowner approves the scope and price, and everyone understands who is paying.
The provider supplies completion records, invoices, and any warranty or permit documentation. If an updated inspection report is needed, that is arranged separately.
Approved providers will be able to claim an available ZIP code within a specific service category. We plan to offer one provider the exclusive program referral position for each ZIP code and category, provided they respond to referred homeowners and continue to meet the participation terms.
A roofing claim won’t reserve the window or Roof-to-Wall category in the same ZIP code. Each category and ZIP code will be reviewed separately against the provider’s qualifications and capacity. A claim does not guarantee a volume of work, and homeowners remain free to choose another provider.
Providers must personally respond to referred homeowners within the response window in their agreement, explain the next step, and keep them informed about estimates and scheduling. An automated acknowledgment alone won’t meet that commitment.
If a provider cannot take a referral, they must promptly let the program know so the homeowner can be helped elsewhere. Unanswered referrals can be reassigned, and failure to meet response requirements can lead to a ZIP code claim being paused or released to another qualified provider.
The response deadline, monitoring process, and claim-review terms will be published before enrollment opens. ZIP code claims are not being accepted yet.
We’re developing credential checks and participation agreements before enrollment opens. ZIP code claims will require approval and ongoing compliance with the response and participation terms.
A free inspection does not include repair costs. The homeowner would be responsible for the approved repair price unless separate assistance has been explicitly approved. Repair funding is not currently available through this site.
We’ll require clear payment terms and written approval for changes in scope or cost. Choosing not to use a participating provider will not affect a homeowner’s access to the inspection program.
Our planned network will keep repair assignments separate from the inspector or inspection company that prepared the home’s report. Participation will not involve paying inspectors commissions for repair referrals or changing findings to generate work.
A sponsor relationship won’t replace provider review or give a business automatic access to homeowner information. We’ll share only the information needed for an authorized referral; homeowner hardship records won’t be included.
We’re planning a way to record estimates, approvals, repair progress, completion documents, and homeowner feedback through Free Insurance Inspections. Repairs and follow-up reports cannot guarantee insurance coverage or insurer acceptance.
Provider enrollment, ZIP code claim agreements, rates, and response standards are still being developed. We are not collecting business applications or arranging repairs yet.
